Why does the greater consciousness sub-divide down into 'lesser beings'?

It is like a game that the Universe plays. We are all part of the Universal greater consciousness but most of us don’t see this because we close ourselves off to this perception through our non-stop ego minds. The rules of the game are that we must work our way back to unity with this greater Intelligence. It is not just handed to us.

Part of the process is to go through many experiences, some of which bring us to our knees. Then, when we turn to the greater consciousness for help, it is there for us. And, like a game where the stakes are high and there is a challenge, we must expend energy to move on to the next level.

Some people don’t know this and let priests, shamans, healers, and other people on the spiritual path figure it all out for them. But if a game is too easy to play and we win every time through no expenditure of energy, there is no fun in it. There is no challenge and there is no growth.

One of the attributes of the Universe is that it is always expanding. And so is our grasp of higher consciousness. But it is something we must meet at least half way, with our own sincere effort. That is the way the game is set up and we have all of eternity to work it out.
