What is anger?

9/30/2019

Anger is not being happy with the present moment and how it appears to you. You don’t like things the way they are. Maybe it is justified, maybe it isn’t but it anger always carries with it the intense feeling that you are very upset with what is happening—either out there or within your mind.

Even if you feel anger about something that happened in the past, the feeling of anger is still always in the present moment. You may be swimming in a beautiful lake and start thinking about a person whom you think is a hypocritical egomaniac. Instead of being in the present moment with the serenity of the lake, you are now consumed with fury at what this person did and said. Your NOW has turned into a fiery pit of anger.

You are irate and plan on what you will say to them next time you see them. You jump into the future and picture different scenarios. This is a great example of how the ego mind cannot abide in the peace of the present moment. It wants to prod at some hurtful situation in the past. It wants to get angry to validate itself as always being right. These people and events don’t fit into your picture of how life should be. Anger then prods you to act, often in destructive ways and take it out on innocent victims.

Therefore, anger is one of the most powerless emotions we can have. It comes from following our fearful ego minds instead of trusting in Life. We can feel indignant at cruelty and do something to address it, for our emotions are part of the Overall Plan too. The negative emotions, such as anger, are there to guide us through creating a life that we love. We can use anger as a geiger counter for whether a situation is right for us.

So we don’t want to shut anger down completely and stomp it out from the face of the earth. It is mistake to think that all we can tolerate are the sweet emotions, such as love and affection. The Universe equipped us with all the emotions. We can feel anger, honestly and receptively. We can then look within to see if we are simply not accepting life as it is, if it is just one more passing mood, or if it is a call to action.

Are we drowning in information and starving for wisdom? Why?

9/29/2019

A huge amount of information is coming our way every day in the Computer Age. Bits of knowledge, bytes of data, to fill our brains, eyes and ears. We think we need all this knowledge to survive and stay on top of the food chain. And in some sense, we do. For if we lag behind in our knowledge base, or at least in our ability to retrieve and apply knowledge, we will be left in the dust. Others who have boned up on the “latest and greatest” will pass us on their road to the future.

But unfortunately, knowledge changes. What we thought was true a hundred years ago, such as that women were not intelligent enough to vote or have political interests, is ridiculous now. Bloodletting in already weakened sick people was also was part of the medical knowledge until about a hundred years ago too.

All this information that we think is knowledge may be disproved in the future. But wisdom is timeless. It is always true. It does not depend on the fads of the culture or of the moment. It applies across the board to every situation. It allows us to find a sanctuary within instead of filling ourselves up with all manner of acquired knowledge.

While knowledge about everything in the world is growing and growing, there is still no connection of knowledge with happiness. We have all heard that “Knowledge is power.” But there is still no relationship between all the stuff we know about and our peace or contentment. If there were, the world would be a sanctuary of abundance and joy—because there is no shortage of knowledge now.

Wisdom can’t be accumulated the way bits of information can be. It has to be experienced, matured, ripened, and allow to grow organically. We cannot buy it the way we can buy a database or a book. And therefore, people are starving for it. They spend too much time running after other things to give wisdom a chance, so they go hungry—like a thirsty man surrounded by sea water—which he cannot drink.

As a twin flame, how do you define consciousness? Do you think you've achieved consciousness? And, if so, how?

9/29/2019

Twin flame consciousness is shared consciousness. It it like the morphological fields of birds, fish and insects. A whole flock of birds will turn in an instant in the sky and fly another way. Bees communicate with each others from many miles away and converge at their hive at the same moment. Thousands of fish will all turn and swim away from a predator in a split second.

They are not talking to each other with physical language. They don’t have time or space for that. They are communicating in a place that is beyond time and space. That is the same kind of consciousness we find in twin flames. They share the same space of awareness and are acutely aware of each other. They share thoughts, feelings, destinies, and past lives.

How this is done is beyond our ability to describe. It just is. Look at a flock of starlings, turning all at once in the sky. The silvery schools of fish as they tune into each other’s wavelengths and maneuver through the sea as one organism. The thousands of bees that all return to their swarm at the end of the day. These are all miracles that point to an unseen world beyond our ability to comprehend. And so it is with soul mates as well.

How do we defeat our lesser selves?

9/29/2019

We don’t need to be at war with our lesser selves. We need to transcend them. If we try to defeat the tendencies we don’t like in ourselves and that don’t bring us inner peace, we set up an adversarial situation. We are then actually going against ourselves, blaming and criticizing.

As in war, there is defeat, if we become angry with ourselves. And no one ever wins in a war really. Everyone is scarred by it in some way.

So we do not want to defeat ourselves. We want to examine the traits that do not support us and then lovingly set about to rise above them gently to our Soul level. For example, we recognize a tendency to cut corners and be lazy. We know this is not a great character trait and does not lead to success in any undertaking. We also know that at the end of the day we will beat up on ourselves for being slackers.

Adding self-criticism to our already low sense of self-esteem leads to a downward spiral. It more effective to look within and see the fear behind the procrastination. We need to look at what about the task at hand makes us want to escape the present moment, and we need to arrive at what we can do to get out of our inertia in a fun and lighthearted way.

In this way, our lesser selves (our petty, frightened ego-minds) will become neutralized. We have not given them the power and therefore do not need to fight them. We just leave them where they are and move to a higher level.

How fearless was Gotama the Buddha?

9/26/2019

Gotama the Buddha was one of the first Ascended Masters to show us how to transcend the fearful human mind. He showed us that suffering was based on fear: Fear of not getting what we want, fear of getting what we want and losing it, fear of getting old and not being able to care for ourselves, fear of dying.

This fearful state is hard-wired into the ego mind and it is the root of most of our actions. We fear pain, we seek pleasure but know it won’t last very long. The Buddha says, “Let’s get beyond this turmoil and get to inner peace.”

Because he had achieved this inner peace himself, and was able to communicate it to others, I believe that he was 98% fearless. He may have had some lapses, for the ego mind does not want to die and it lives on fear, like food. Maybe it asserted itself 2% of the time. But like a good a good surfer, the Buddha could get himself back into balance quickly and easily.

We will never know. No lapses into the fearful hauntings of his mind were recorded and he said nothing about them, that we know of. Even Jesus had his moment on the Mount of Olives. Later he released his fear and said, “Nevertheless, not my will, but thine be done.”

The human mind comes equipped with fear and worry as its survival mechanism. The Buddha, though a perfect receptacle for the Divine and perfect order of the Universe, still was human and had a human mind. If he didn’t he would not have been able to pinpoint why we suffer so much and find a way out of it. So that 2% was beneficial to all of us.

What is the difference between Pranic healing and Reiki healing? Is one more effective than the other?

9/26/2019

Pranic and Reiki are both forms of energy healing. We have long recognized the relationship between our minds’ reactivity and our bodies’s ailments. Sometimes people need an energy adjustment. They need to release blockages that manifest as knots and tension in the muscles and organs. Energy healing is one of the time- tested ways of dealing with our daily aches and pains.

Pranic healing originated in India, where the whole person is treated in Ayurvedic medicine. Mind, body, and soul are all taken into account. Energy healing makes sense in this setting. “Prana” is the powerful yet unseen breath of life. It is like the “winds” in Traditional Chinese Medicine, and close to the concept of “Chi.”

If the prana is out of whack, lots of things can go wrong in the body. In general, a person can feel depleted and constantly tired. The pranic healer assesses peoples’ energy through reading their auras, chakras (energy centers), and energy fields. They then prescribe protocols for cleansing and healing.
Reiki originated in Japan. It is different from pranic healing in that It is administered through placing the healer’s hands on the patient to cleanse and balance the chakras, meridians, and other energy centers. The healer’s hands channel and transmit energy, which flows into the areas that need to be healed. In this way the unseen energy of the life force is renewed.
Like the pranic healer, the reiki healer finds blocked and congested areas and clears them through time-tested techniques and getting in touch with their own inner wisdom.

Is it possible for a person to live in a shack and feel happiness or inner joy? If so, then what does this mean for our societies? Is everything fake and artificial in our world? Are we living in a matrix that we have created? What is real?

9/25/2019

Inner joy is never dependent on outer things. A person with inner joy can feel as peaceful in a prison as in a mansion. Nothing external matters to inner joy. That means a person can be “old,” “ugly,” and seen as “totally useless” by others and still feel great gratitude and happiness for just being alive. They forgive the poor sinners that treat them badly and find rest within themselves and a glowing inner world.

Our societies have been on a childish path of acquiring more toys for centuries now. The view of happiness being an accumulation of objects that easily decay or can be destroyed is not logical. But to a childish mind it makes sense. Like a child at Christmas surrounded by all the toys and candy but still crying. He wants that one toy Santa Claus didn’t bring. He also ate too much candy and his stomach hurts. He’s cranky.

Maybe one more toy will do the trick. No. We have seen that the world is not happier with all the abundance of riches and luxury. It is an old joke now that People Magazine should be called, Miserable Folks Who Self-destruct in Mansions. It is not real. It is a false path. But it is a path people on this planet must take on their evolution towards higher consciousness.

How can I take control of my unconscious mind?

9/25/2019

You really can’t control your unconscious mind. You can only know that it exists and provides hidden reasons for why you do certain things and make certain choices. Your unconscious mind is just one more thing you have no control over.

If you asked me, “How can I take control over my pancreas?” I would give you a similar answer. You can’t. It functions outside of your control unless you totally destroy your body through unhealthy living habits. Then you can destroy your pancreas too, along with the rest. But even if you have excellent living habits, you can still have pancreatic cancer—regardless of your best efforts.

Few things are actually within our control, when we really look at it. Our circulatory system, our heartbeat, our digestion. We can’t control any of it. But we can control our conscious mind—our thinking. We can choose our thoughts. Those are under our control. And that control makes the difference between a happy and an unhappy life.

Is human’s pursuit of happiness worth the pain and suffering?

9/25/2019

Pain and suffering are never the path to happiness. The only path to happiness is happiness is happiness itself. No amount of struggle and suffering will ever bring us happiness. This is because struggling and suffering also bring with them lack of gratitude and the inability to see the good in life.

It is a myth that one day, if we struggle and suffer enough, the Big Guy in the Sky will reward us for being so good and and miserable. On the contrary, struggling and suffering attract only more struggling and suffering. We can’t postpone our happiness by thinking that one day, if we slave away hard enough, we will get a big pat on the head and everything will end up like a wonderful fairy tale.

I am not saying that there isn’t pain in life. Being in the Physical guarantees pain of some sort of pain (as a warning system) at ever stage of life. But suffering and struggling are mental attitudes divorced from the actual sensation of pain. Struggling and suffering are all about “Why me? What did I do to deserve this? Life sucks!”

The pursuit of happiness is itself a dead end. Happiness is always in the present moment. If we are pursuing it, it means we are not in it. It is in the future. It is not now. This doesn’t work and we will end up like hamsters on a wheel, frantically and endlessly running after something that does not exist—because it is not in the present moment.

What is universal wisdom?

9/22/2019

Universal wisdom is the understanding that everything is put together perfectly, just as it is. It doesn’t need human intervention to make it better. This kind of wisdom is far-reaching and often beyond the grasp of the human mind. We can admire it and derive great inner peace when we channel it, but our minds can never encompass the magnitude of universal wisdom.

We are fortunate to have minds that can conceive of this state of perfection. Enlightened minds can sense the vast interconnectedness of it all. Every object no matter how tiny or how huge impacts every other object in an infinite universe. This is difficult for many to grasp and most people just give up. They say, “Let the priests, rabbis, mullahs, and philosophers figure it out.”

Yet we all have the capacity to channel universal wisdom. It takes contemplation and the willingness to sit still and explore the implications of an Infinite Universe. Infinite means never ending, never beginning, always here in the present moment, always has been, always will be—in all its changing shapes and forms. It is huge beyond comprehension but can be felt in our inner, deeper selves, our souls.
