Is it to avoid the truth that all the meaning we create for ourselves such as God and eternal satisfaction is only an avoidance for the fact and possibility that all our efforts are in vain and void for life has no meaning? Or for purpose, regardless if that purpose is true or not.
It is the nature of the human mind to seek out logical and spiritual causes for phenomena. It is part of the game of life and what makes it so interesting. The problem comes in when people force their explanations on others and label them “The Truth.” They are willing to kill others to prove their point. That is the downside of this search for meaning.
If we look at our lives from a Spiritual point of view, it doesn’t matter whether there is meaning or not. It just is. The ground of our being is eternal and always is. It doesn’t have to have a meaning. For example, does a beautiful flower have meaning?
You could say, yes, it is there to make sure that it perpetuates itself by attracting bees to pollinate other flowers. But is that a meaning? No, it is a process. We are all part of the magnificent rhythm and flow of life and that is enough.
