The Universe is not hostile, people’s lower-minds are the problem. Apart from natural disasters, which have no personal intention, humans are the perpetrators of most of the suffering on the planet. Moreover, they are the willing perpetrators, justifying themselves, proving others wrong, and willing to kill others for it.
The Universe is the source from which we came. Through a range of circumstances, we evolved these brains that allowed us to rise to the top of the food chain. But there are aspects of this brain that no longer serve us. They actually impede the movement of our consciousness into more expansive, joyful ways of life. Among these aspects, which at one time served to protect us, is fear.
Fear causes us to see everything and everyone around us as potentially hostile. We are so afraid we are not going to survive. But survive for what? So we can continue to cower in a hostile universe?
This kind of fear does not exist in the Universe. It is the direct byproduct of this dysfunctional aspect of our minds and is unique to humans. It even leaves its imprint on animals, such as red zone dogs, when they are handled or abused by humans.
The Universe is doing amazingly fine in every way. Getting in touch with this unfailing truth will alleviate the fear that propels so much of the chaos in this world.
