But at its depth, all remains calm, smooth, still and unruffled. That deep stillness is the basis of all spiritual insight. Spiritual insights do not come from perturbed minds, desperately reaching for the next pleasure, the next thrill, the next distraction. Spiritual insight bypasses the mind altogether and comes through the heart and gut area.
Some spiritual insights come through grace. That is when a powerful light goes on in one’s entire being, unsought. A person is going about his or her mundane whirl of getting things done, when all of a sudden a bright light of understanding switches on and the person feels drenched in divine blessings and radiance.
Other spiritual insights are communicated from ascended masters who have attained this state of grace. People can feel this in these wise beings’ writings or in their presence and they share their vibrational field of spiritual insight with those who are receptive to it.
The state of spiritual insight is unmistakeable to those who experience it, even if it is difficult to describe. Once felt, other types of insights, such as intellectual concepts and philosophical musing, become so many ripples in the lake. They are useful but can never bring the lasting joy of spiritual insight.
