Or, if we are not being anxious about the future, we are distressed over what we did/didn’t do or said/didn’t say in the past, or what others have done or said to us.
No wonder we cannot find the present moment among all that noise. This is why it is important to feel and find the space between your thoughts. This is the famous “gap” that allows the beauty of the present moment to shine through.
But you must be aware of how the non-stop chattering mind can hinder this process. Recognize that you are so much more than your thinking apparatus. Then you will feel the eternal peace of the present moment, which is all there ever is.
