But I don’t see meditation as a means to an end. I don’t meditate because it will get me all the stuff I want. I do it because I love it. It takes me beyond the chattering, fearful mind, into the Source of my consciousness. It is relaxing sometimes and other times requires intense attention.
I don’t like to think of meditation as one more dogmatic practice, with rules of conduct and judgments. Some people can meditate while they are walking or petting their animal friends. Anything that takes you to place deep within your consciousness and away from the fearsome thought processes is a form of meditation.
