And if we do, how does one prove it so?
The soul is non-physical essence of who we are. It is an extension of the Universe and exists apart from the fallible human mind. It is the part of us that dwells in eternal peace, joy, love, and beauty.
Because it is non-physical, it is not easily provable in a laboratory. And it cannot be manipulated the way other non-physical forces, such as electricity, can be.
The only way to prove is is to see it at work in exceptionally soul-ful people such as the Dalai Lama or Mother Teresa. They demonstrate the qualities of soul and people around them can feel this. Though it is invisible, it is a quality that can be communicated and felt.
Another way to experience soul is to be in an audience with a particularly soul-ful performer, such as Aretha Franklin or Yo-Yo Ma. Soul-ful poets who speak only their native language can recite their work and an entire audience will “get it” because of the underlying soul being expressed.
You can also look within and feel the calm presence of your own soul. Without understanding ourselves as eternal souls, human life appears to be a meaningless biological game for the sake of survival to reproduce the species. Being grounded in our souls allows us to see the mystical underpinnings of a grander plan. It brings unexplainable happiness that endures, regardless of the circumstances of our lives.
