You can lose your body but never your soul. Your soul is, by definition, the eternal part of you. It is the part that is non-physical and can never die.
People cover over their souls like light bulbs being covered over by masking tape. But the soul is always there, ready to shine again. Some people, who mistreat others, seem to have lost their souls because a loving heart and the eternal soul share the same qualities.
But these “lost souls” are souls too. They are just not letting their souls shine forth. They choose to live in a hellish world because they are being driven by their fearful, hateful, negative minds. They can change this at any time, if they get in touch with their souls.
The soul only brings peace, joy, and love. It can be found any time you seek it and understand that is who you really are.
