I was really amused when I realized that in a right side-driving country you should always look left first. The car will always be on that side. It’s amazing to me how that is a rule of universe and cannot be different. Can that phenomenon be described by math? And, do you find it amusing like me?
But the feeling the sunset brings to us cannot be explained or described through math. Some people will feel elated, others sad because they miss their loved ones, others annoyed at the bright colors, others fearful because they didn’t accomplish all they needed to do that day. Some people will feel inner peace and gratitude for the splendor.
These kinds of variables can be accounted for in math statements, but feelings and spiritual connections elude the language of mathematics. This is why we have poetry, which is perfect for describing the feelings that sunsets, and all the other miracles of nature, inspire.
