Your third eye cannot be damaged. It can be clouded over by thoughts that don’t allow its light to shine through. Sometimes our chakras, such as the third eye can be out of alignment. But they can never be damaged.
Not listening to our intuition is the actually the result of this clouding over of the third eye. It is not the cause, but rather the effect. When we over-ride our deepest feelings and intuition, we invalidate the inherent wisdom that proceeds from this chakra.
Our third eye chakra is like an empty bowl, waiting to receive the Eternal Wisdom of the Universe. When we keep doubting what it reveals, it can get cloudy and out of sync with all the rest of the chakras.
At the same time, it is like a shining sun that spreads its light of wisdom throughout our lives. If we refuse to see or cannot see it because our chattering mind sets up a barrier and wants to second guess our deepest feelings, it doesn’t mean that the sun stops shining. It just means we can’t see it. It is still there, in tact and undamaged.
