Balance and Enhance
Your Energy Centers (Chakras)
It is of the utmost importance that we heal and revitalize our Energy Centers. Let's define first the type of energy we will work with:
We use the word “energy” in the sense that we live in a universe that consist of vibrations. One of the manifestations of these vibrations is energy. Electrons, atoms, molecules, cells, whole organisms, your body, even rocks, planets, and stars are constantly vibrating, even if we can’t see it. The atomic and subatomic elements of all visible and invisible things are vibrating and spinning at unimaginable speeds. The entire universe is energy, matter, and information in zillions of fascinating forms, always transmuting from one into another. It is a never ending process, with its energy flowing through the seven energy fields, called Chackras, of our bodies.

The Chakras
Our Seven Chakra areas are vital to our health. Negative feelings hamper the spin of these chakras, resulting in sickness and disease. These vital energy centers reside in our bodies, but like thoughts and feelings, are not detectable under a microscope, EKG, MRI, or other instruments. Yet they affect how we live our lives and especially our happiness.
Most of the world has never even heard the term “chakras,” nor do they understand them. But the eastern nations are aware of these chakras and what they are capable of doing. They have created pictures of the chakra symbols through inner knowing, dreams, and revelation.
The seven major chakras work together as a system, so when one chakra is blocked or unbalanced, it needs healing by scanning and removing the blockage for the benefit of all other chakras. We will show how they work next.
Wheels
We are going to learn how to balance the seven healing chakras. These seven energy areas are receivers and transmitters for vital energies on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels. The word chakra is derived from the Sanskrit word meaning “wheel.”
Speed
Each chakra vibrates or rotates at a different speed. The first chakra, the Root, rotates at the slowest speed. The crown chakra, the seventh and highest, rotates at the highest speed. The Crown chakra vibrates and rotates at highest speed. Its amazing dynamism is set off by the power of thought.
Chakra Colors
Chakras can be stimulated both by sound and by a complimentary color.
Chakra Symbols and their Meaning
Root Chakra, or Muladhara
Represents the place of birth and rebirth and is called the Gateway of life and Death because it is our connection to the Earth. It reminds us of our ancient roots. It also involves the major human needs, as shelter, enough food, clothing, the desire to live.
Root Chakra Notes:
The root chakra represents the most earth-centered chakra. It stands for our received beliefs through our formative years (0-7years old). Self-preservation, personal survival and our identification with the physical world centers in this bottom-most of the seven chakras.
A healthy root chakra vitally connects you to the family you were born into, your immediate society and to the global community. If your formative years were difficult and without love, then this damaged root chakra will function differently from someone’s who grew up in a loving, secure, and nurturing family. Issues of survival such as emotional dysfunction, stress, anxiousness, and restlessness will trouble you.
You’ll have fears of letting go, scarcity, poor boundaries, and more. It’s during the 0-7 years that we learn about where we are in our relationships with siblings, parents, our community, and how we relate to them.
Questions to Ask Yourself:
- What beliefs did you get or learn from your family?
- Is there unfinished business between you and your parents?
- What limiting beliefs did you learn about survival and money?
- Do you have issues with personal boundaries?
- Is it difficult for you to bond with others?
- Are you often sick or suffering from illness?
Sacral Chakra, or Swadisthana
A balanced sacral chakra is a source of inspiration for all our creative exploration. Keep balance in the sacral chakra by experiencing your feelings as they come instead of burying emotions and dwelling in the past.
Sacral Chakra Notes
The second from the bottom of the seven chakras is about our relationships, creativity, sexuality, and control. It is closely related with the astral level and that's why this chakra awakens unknown powers of intuition and psychic abilities. The first (root) chakra is the survival center. The second chakra is the energy and information center relating to our emotions.
It represents the time when we realize we are a separate entity from our parents and family. It also represents about the polarity of opposites, male and female, positive and negative. Relationships with the opposite sex are centered here.
This chakra controls the sexual organs and reproductive system, the kidneys and the bladder. Its energy also governs the circulatory and lymphatic systems, plus the urinary tract which eliminates the toxins out of the body. It represents the spleen in men and the uterus in women.

Gives us a sense of harmony, allowing us to enjoy human intimacy and affection, warmth, nurturing, family, and friendship. The heart chakra is very important in spiritual healing. When the heart center is fully opened, it becomes the channel for Universal Love.
Heart Chakra Notes
When the heart chakra is open, we are able to forgive, our lungs are clear and our immune systems are healthy. The higher chakras cannot be assessed till we pass through the heart. A heavy heart is one that carries resentment and anger from denied feeling and emotions, as well as guilt.
To have a healthy heart, you must allow these suppressed emotions to surface, heal, and fall in love with yourselves. Or, suffer from bitterness and lack of forgiveness. An unhealthy heart chakra causes alone feelings and despair. How you love yourselves, you love others. The heart lessons are self-love and self-forgiveness.
Some people have excessive heart chakra. They need to learn how to discover peace and harmony inside themselves. Others have deficient heart chakra. They need to open up in order to feel and share love. The heart chakra is important for spiritual healing. When it is fully opened, it becomes the channel for Universal Love. Throat Chakra Notes
The throat chakra is all about choice, willpower and the right to speak and be heard. Some of what we say empowers us and some of what we say disempowers us. What we say and how we say it can be caused by unloving or loving impressions from our past.
We manifest what we want in life through this chakra. A healthy throat chakra makes your voice clear and it resonates with truth. The words are a creative expression of the honesty and trust we feel within.
Blocks in this chakra make it difficult to communicate because we feel suppressed by swallowed emotions and feelings. Our voice is weak and our feelings unclear or garbled. Integrity plays a huge part in the proper functioning of the throat chakra. Since it’s between the head and the heart it works to maintain integrity between what we think and what we feel. Self-empowerment is the main lesson of this chakra symbol.

Third Eye i.e. Brow Chakra, or Ajna
Apart from our physical eyes, we have another eye, which has long been acknowledged and documented. It is called the Third Eye or the Pineal Gland and it connects to our inner world, because it is considered the Seat of the Soul. Your intuition or hunches will become more consistent when the Third Eye becomes more powerful.
Third Eye Chakra Notes
Our intuition and our visionary ability come from this chakra. It's the center of divine wisdom; the spiritual eye that seeks to see and know the truth in all things. To access it, we close our physical eyes and look at the world from all aspects of self. Our intuition becomes our guide.
Through the third eye we become aware of our true nature as spirits in physical bodies, participating in physical reality.
Scientific research has shown that the pineal gland contains light-sensitive cells, similar to those of the eye's retina. This proves that the pineal gland can actually see beyond the physical realm.

This chakra is our gate to the higher state of consciousness and to our Enlightenment. When we feel separation from the spiritual state of consciousness, we close the crown chakra. We feel isolated and alone, which creates imbalances in the energy flow. The Crown chakra makes us realize that all that is perceived is just an extension of our own consciousness.
Crown Chakra Notes
This chakra is located at the top of the head and spins very quickly, represented as a 1000 petal lotus. It is our direct connection to God. Guidance comes directly to us from the divine and is received through this chakra.
The life force from the creator penetrates into our energy system through the crown, and moves down through the other energy centers to the root chakra. From here we are inspired by God, and filled with Grace, because we have a strong connection to a power greater than ourselves. We live in present time and our spirits live in the Now in harmony with our physical body.

Chakra Healing Sounds, Glands, Senses, and Astrological Signs
Each chakra also has a healing sound, or mantra, associated with it. When you practice chakra healing, you are using these sounds as well as visualizing the pure color of the chakra.
Raising the Kundalini, Your Evolutionary Energy
Kundalini is the Eastern term for an evolutionary energy that starts in the root chakra and moves all the way up through the crown chakra. Its single purpose is to evolve human consciousness to higher levels. It is moving the life force through all your chakras, cleansing, healing, and providing extraordinary enlightenment.
When you start working with Kundalini energy, it is crucial that your energy centers and pathways are strong enough to channel the energy. You may not plan to raise Kundalini, but it might awaken spontaneously anyway.
The Chakra energy centers play a key role in enabling the energy body to safely awaken Kundalini energy, which is compressed deep inside the base of the spine. To activate Kundalini, you need to strengthen the energy pathways running up and down, and all throughout the energy body, in between energy centers.
By connecting all the chakras you are getting the internal energy superhighways ready to harness the intense force of enlivened Kundalini. It is like turning on a fireman's hose. All the stabilizing equipment must be ready for action and in place beforehand. This means your awareness of your chakras must be exercised and developed
Full liberation of the Kundalini will activate psychic abilities and the expansion of consciousness. It is the highest point of energy work.
This evolutionary process is controlled by the Higher Self. Regular spiritual practices will raise the bar considerably and cause a higher level of evolution. You must lay the foundation by adequately strengthening the energy centers and pathways first.
The mind and personality must be balanced and grounded. Kundalini is a profound energetic experience and it will trigger psychic abilities, spiritual evolution, and illumination.
