Auras, Out-of-Body
and Life after Life Experiences
You are a being consisting of eight vibrating energy fields. Only one of them is visible: The Physical. Because you cannot see the other fields or attain them through your thoughts and feelings, you may believe they don’t exist.
Like electricity and air, they cannot be seen by the human eye. Nor can they be perceived through the thought processes of the mind. Scientists call them electromagnetic fields. You are surrounded by them and you also consist of them. They are energy fields and everything that exists participates in this endless vibrational dance.

Auras
What is an Aura? It is an energy field that surrounds all living things, comprised of magnetic energy, unique to each individual.
The Aura contains much information about us:
- Clues as to what has happened in the past
- Energies we are letting ourselves be open to in the future 3.Past physical ailments or the beginning of new ones
What Does an Aura Look Like?
Imagine a space filled with light. Energy flows and swirls through it in bright colours. this life energy moves around you as you sit directly in the center. This place is your Aura, your own personal universe. It constantly moves and changes as you move and change. Some people see as many as nine layers, most seven layers. It can extend as little as a few inches to many feet away from the body. The size of your Aura is unique to you. Auras are flexible - they are changing all the time in size, colours and patterns.
Kirlian Photography and Auras
Auras around people have been observed by scientists in Russia, who have been using Kirlian photography to study Auras for the last 50 years.
Weak and Dull Auras
Everyone has an Aura. But most people on Earth have weak and dull Auras. This seems to be a direct consequence of their life long materialistic attitude negating and suppressing the development of consciousness, cultivating fear, envy, jealousy and other similar emotions. Such attitude suppresses their True Nature, and their Auras seem to become suppressed too.
How to see Auras
This exercise is designed for seeing Auras for the first time.
Situate the person in front of a very softly illuminated PLAIN WHITE background. A colored background will change Aura colors..
- Choose ONE SPOT to look at. The middle of the forehead is VERY GOOD. This is a location of so called Brow Chakra or the Third Eye.
- Look at this spot for 30 to 60 seconds or longer.
- After 30 seconds analyze surroundings with your peripheral vision, while still looking. Continuing the concentration is most important. Resist temptation to look around. You should see that the background near the person is brighter and has a DIFFERENT color than the background further away. The longer you concentrate, the better you will see it. Remember, concentration on one spot increases your sensitivity by accumulating the effect of the Aura vibration reaching your eyes.
Meaning of Aura and its Colors
Usually, people have one or two dominating colors (strong points) in their Aura. These colors (or their Auric pairs) will be most likely their favorite colors.
Meaning of Clean Colors of the Aura
Purple: Indicates spiritual thoughts. Purple is never a strong point in the Aura. It appears only as temporary "clouds" and "flames", indicating truly spiritual thoughts.
Blue: Balanced existence, sustaining life, relaxed nervous system, transmitting forces and energy. Electric blue can override any other color in the Aura, when the person is receiving and/or transmitting information in a telepathic communication.
Turquoise: Highly energized personality, capable of organizing and influencing other people. People with turquoise strong point in their Aura are good multitaskers. They feel bored when forced to concentrate on one thing.
Green: Restful, modifying energy, natural healing ability.
Yellow: Joy, freedom, non-attachment, freeing or releasing vital forces. People who glow yellow are full of inner joy, very generous and not attached to anything. Yellow halo around the head: high spiritual development.
Orange: Uplifting and absorbing. Inspiring. A sign of power. Ability and/or desire to control people.
Red: Materialistic thoughts, thoughts about the physical body. Predominantly red Aura indicates a materialistically oriented person.
Pink: Indicates that the person achieved a perfect balance between spiritual awareness and the material existence.
Meaning of Dirty Colors
These are colors appearing darker than background more like a smoke than a glow.
Brown: Unsettling, distracting, materialistic, negating spirituality.
Gray: Dark thoughts, depressing thoughts, unclear intentions, presence of a dark side of personality.
Sulfur (color of a mustard): Pain or lack of ease, anger. Meaning of White
White: Several hours before the death, the Aura becomes white, and greatly increases in intensity. For this reason in most cultures "death" is depicted in WHITE (not black), because in the past, people could actually see a white Aura before death.
Auras and Disease
Disease shows up in the aura in many different ways, sometimes weeks before any physical symptoms. An ear infection, for example, will show up as a shadow over the side of the head before any symptoms appear. This shadow will gradually change into a murky, khaki Green. As the infection takes hold, it will become shot through with Red and Orange flecks. Khaki and murky Green with Red and Orange flecks, is commonly seen with any infection.
Auras and Death
When a person is dying the aura changes dramatically. Educated iewers have seen auras fade and weaken, and then, a week or so before death it expands, changing into a beautiful pale Blue shot through with Silver sparks.
Out of Body (OBE) Experiences
In astral projection the conscious mind leaves the physical body and moves into the astral body. The astral body is one of seven subtle bodies, which also include the etheric, mental, causal, and spiritual - all connected to - and interacting with each other - your physical body and your soul. In this state, one is able to travel to parallel realms beyond the material plane, known as the Astral Plane.
Research
Robert Monroe, founder of the Monroe Institute, published several accounts of his experiences of astral projection, including Far Journeys. Monroe developed a method he calls Hemisync to induce mental states that are favorable for projection. Hemisync is a synchronization of the brainwaves of both of the brains' hemispheres or lobes. Hemisync uses sounds to alter brain waves, together with meditative instruction, listened to on headphones.
Techniques and types of out-of-body experiences and related phenomena, are described in the 1,200+ page Projectiology by Dr. Waldo Viera, MD. It lists almost 2,000 books and articles in 18 languages on the topic.
Dr. Charles Tart has conducted many experiments on OBE, and has had several articles and journals published on this subject. These include Psychophysiological Study of Out of Body Experiences in a Selected Subject, which was published in the Journal of the American Society for Psychical Research.
Astral Travel vs. Remote Viewing
Remote viewing is the psychic ability to perceive places, persons, and actions that are not within the range of the senses. It is used for whatever one wants: oil, mountains on Jupiter, a lost child, a buried body, a hostage site thousands of miles away, inside the Pentagon or the Kremlin, etc.
The CIA and the U.S. Army spent millions of dollars on the “Stargate" research program. It involved using psychics for such operations as trying to locate Qadhafi of Libya.
Some variations of remote viewing:
- Outbounder Remote Viewing, in which a person physically present at the target site acts as a "beacon" to identify the target site.
- Coordinate (or Controlled) Remote Viewing (CRV) in which target sites were originally described in terms of geographical coordinates.
- Technical Remote Viewing (TRV), a term trademarked by a company called PSI TECH, based upon CRV.
- Associative Remote Viewing (ARV), Often applied to predicting future events.
- Predictive Remote Viewing (PRV), for use in predicting stock market fluctuations.
Techniques of Astral Travel
In astral projection you remain attached to your physical body by a silver umbilical cord.
Find a quiet place . . . free of distractions, then:
- Adjust the lighting and room temperature.
- Adjust clothing . . . footwear . . . eyeglasses.
- Sit down or lie down . . .Find a position that is comfortable for you . . .
- Quiet your mind . . . Still your thoughts . . .Relax your body. . .
- Your face . . . your jaw . . . relaxing . . .your shoulders . . . your neck . . . relaxed
- Your arms . . . your hands . . . feel at peace . . .Your torso . . . your hips . . . let go . . .
- Your legs . . . your feet . . . totally relaxed . . .
- Focus on your breathing . . .Inhale slowly and deeply through your nose . . .
- Retain the breath as long as is comfortable . . .
- Exhale through the mouth slowly and completely . . .
- Repeat for two more breaths . . . or as is comfortable.
- Let go of the fear of leaving your physical body.
- See yourself floating away from your physical body.
The Silva Mind Control Technique
In your mind say: "I'm going to count down from 3 to 1, visualizing each number on a white orb suspended in the air above my head. When I reach the third and final "1" my body will be deeply relaxed. I will have no awareness of physical sensations. I will not perceive any physical discomfort. My consciousness will be focused on my astral body.
Now visualize a white orb suspended in the air above your head. Mentally focus on the orb I visualize a number "3" on the face of the orb. The numbers can be any color. They may vary with each experience. Visualize the "3" three times: three number "3's" on the orb. Your body is completely relaxed. You are losing awareness of your physical body.
Then repeat the visualization with three number "2's." You are into greater relaxation. Now visualize the "1's." You are losing awareness of physical sensations. Your consciousness will be in your astral body.
Repeat this using the number "1's" three times. Your consciousness is now in your astral body.
Now the key is to remain conscious while your body is asleep. Different thoughts may pull you from your focus, as the mind loves to chatter. Just push these thoughts away.
The Monroe Technique
Step One: Relax the body.
Step Two: Enter the state bordering sleep. This is known as the hypnogogic state. Hold your forearm up, while keeping your upper arm on the bed, or ground. As you start to fall asleep, your arm will fall, and you will awaken again. Monroe calls this Condition A.
Step Three: Deepen this state. Clear your mind. Observe your field of vision through your closed eyelids and the blackness in front of you. Notice light patterns. When they stop, you have reached Condition B. From here, you must enter an even deeper state of relaxation, called Condition C-- a state of such relaxation that you lose all awareness of the body and sensory stimulation. You are in a void. Your only source of stimulation will be your own thoughts.
The ideal state for leaving your body is Condition D. This is Condition C when it is voluntarily induced from a rested and refreshed condition and is not the effect of normal fatigue. To achieve Condition D, Monroe suggests that you practice entering it in the morning just as you are getting up, or after a short nap.
Step Four: Enter a state of Vibration. This is the most important part of the technique, and also the most vague.
Many projectors have noted these vibrations at the onset of projection. They can be experienced as a mild tingling, or as if electricity is being shot through the body.
Step Five: Learn to control the vibrational state. Practice controlling vibrations by mentally pushing them into your head, down to your toes, making them surge throughout your entire body, and producing vibrational waves from head to foot. To produce this wave effect, concentrate on the vibrations and mentally push a wave out of your head and guide it down your body. Once you have control of the vibrational state, you are ready to leave the body.
Step Six: Begin with a partial separation. The key here is thought control. Keep your mind firmly focused on the idea of leaving the body. Do not let it wander. Stray thoughts might cause you to lose control of the state.
Step Seven: Dissociate yourself from the body. Monroe suggests two methods for this. One method is to lift out of the body. To do this, think about getting lighter and lighter after entering the vibrational state. Think about how nice it would be to float upward. Keep this thought in mind at all costs and let no extraneous thoughts interrupt it. An OBE will occur naturally at this point.
The Rotation Method
Another method is the "Rotation Method" or "roll-out" technique. When you have achieved the vibrational state, try to roll over as if you were turning over in bed. Do not attempt to roll over physically. Try to twist your body from the top and virtually roll over into your second body right out of your physical self. At this point, you will be out of the body, but next to it. Think of floating upward, and you should find yourself floating above the body.
The One Subtle Body Experience
Some astral travelers have experienced it as only one subtle body, sometimes called "The Body of Light." The subtle body is attached to the physical body by means of an energetic connection, which usually takes the appearance of a silver cord 'plugging' into the chakras like an umbilical cord.
A Progression of Subtle Bodies
A more subtle energy body carries the consciousness outside of the physical body. As one progresses to more advanced levels of the astral plane, more subtle bodies are realized and consciousness is transferred in turn to each of them. The astral body is one of a range of subtle bodies, which also include the:
- Etheric--the vital force that permeates everything--a finer, weblike grade of matter called ether, which permeates the atomic structure of the earth and its atmosphere.
- Mental--concrete thoughts in our physical mind, memories
- Emotional--our feelings, gut reactions
- Causal--on the cosmic plane, our connection with our divine source
- Spiritual--our conscious soul
- Celestial--religious ecstasy and unconditional love
Subtle Bodies and How they Relate to Auras
There are several different layers to the aura, and these layers correspond to the subtle bodies. Everyone is familiar with the physical body because we "wear" it every day. But there are more subtle (light) bodies outside of the physical.
Etheric Body
- Extends about two inches out from the physical
- Composed of a web of lines of light that cross each other.
- Blue in color.
- The map or blueprint for the physical body.
- Holds impressions of all organs, glands, and meridians.
- Many healers can scan (feel) the etheric web and sense hot spots, cold spots,
disease, scar tissue and many other disorders and/or blockages.
Emotional Body
- Can extend out as far as three feet, depending on how emotionally expressive the individual is.
- Is made up of beautiful pastel colors - green, yellow, lavender, blue, pink.
- Holds the emotions, such as love, fear, hate, passion.
For the most part, the emotional body lives in the past. It can be beautiful and colorful like a pastel painting; or it can be polluted with anger, hate, or other negative feelings.
Mental Body
The lower mind. The higher mind is in the spiritual body and is part of the higher self.
Yellow in color and holds our thoughts.
When we think about something, it takes a form; thus, we have thought-forms in the mental body that can be seen by clairvoyants.
All disease and distortion in the physical body comes in by way either of the mental body or emotional body.
Spiritual Body
- Holds our connection to the higher self, to soul, spirit, and the Godhead.
- Holds our potential, creativity, great gifts, and the knowledge of our mission on the planet.
Others can feel this light. For instance, when you are powerful and expand your aura, others will turn around when you walk into a room because they feel your light first before they see your face.
Subtle Body Colors and Chakras
Each "body" has its own aura and set of chakras, and corresponds to a particular plane of existence. Thus the astral body is made up of the substance of the astral plane, just as the physical body is made up of the elements of the physical plane, and so on with all the bodies.
First: Base/Root--red-- governs the reproductive system, sexual organs, legs and feet, tailbone, colon, and spinal column.
Second: Sacral-- orange--the creativity chakra with artistic energy. The emotional body connects to this chakra. Governs the spleen, kidneys, and urinary organs.
Third: Solar Plexus--yellow--holds wisdom, self-esteem, happiness, and curiosity--governs the stomach, liver, pancreas, gall bladder, intestines, sympathetic nervous system, blood sugar, and digestive system.
Fourth: Heart--green--Unconditional love--Governs the heart, thymus, lungs, lymph, immune system, circulatory system, arms, and hands.
Fifth: Throat--blue-- expression and speaking our mind, connection to spiritual thought and knowledge. Governs the thyroid parathyroid, throat, jaw, neck, and mouth.
Sixth: Third Eye--indigo--When we astral travel, this is the chakra we leave from, connected by the silver cord. Governs the pituitary gland, hypothalamus, lower brain, and central nervous system.
Seventh: Crown--violet--Connection to our Higher Self-- Governs the pineal, upper brain, and central nervous system.
Life after Life
How do we experience life after life? Most of us know about the phenomenon of Near Death Experience. A few of us may already have been exposed to it themselves or through loved ones. We'll discuss this, and the other manifestation of eternal life, as evidenced by After Death Communication (ADC) here.
Near Death Experience (NDE)
A near-death experience (NDE) is the perception reported by a person who nearly died or who was clinically dead and revived. Is reported in approximately one-fifth of persons who revive from clinical death. The experience often includes an out-of-body experience. Some people refer to this phenomenon as an 'After Death Experience'. It usually includes:
- Impressions of being outside the physical body (OBE)
- Visions of deceased relatives and religious figures
- Transcendence of ego and time/space boundaries
The experience follows a distinct progression:
- Starts with the sensation of floating above one's body and seeing the surrounding area
- Followed by the sensation of passing through a tunnel
- Meeting deceased relatives
- Concluding with encountering a being of light (Morse, Conner & Tyler, 1985).
The person experiences peace, joy and harmony, followed by insight and mystical or religious experiences. The most intense NDEs involve an awareness of things occurring in a different place or time (Lange, Greyson & Houran, 2004).
Two Big Names in NDE
Dr. Raymond Moody is the father of NDE research. He has chronicled many of these experiences in several books, including Life after Life.
Another early pioneer is Dr. Kenneth Ring, co-founder and past President of the International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS).
Spiritual and Psychological After-effects of NDEs
NDE subjects often report long-term after-effects:
- Increased interest in spirituality
- Increased interest in the meaning of life
- Increased empathic understanding
- Decrease in fear of death (van Lommel et.al, 2001)
Why More People Don't Report NDEs
Simpson (2001) notes that the number of people that have experienced an NDE might be higher than the number of cases that are actually reported. It is not unusual for near-death experiencers to feel profound insecurity related to how they are going to explain something that the surrounding culture perceives as a strange, paranormal incident.
The Whole NDE Journey
- In a near-death experience the spirit - soul spark - leaves the physical body usually after a major trauma - accidents, illnesses, problems in surgery - cardiac arrest - anaphylactic shock, coma, etc. It is a moment of release by the soul from the physical.
- Most people report that they are outside of their physical bodies - traveling through a tunnel toward a source of white light - the creational source of our reality.
- They usually report meeting a deceased relative or heavenly being, coming to a precipice or place where a decision about life or death must take place, seeing one's life pass before their eyes, sometimes in order called a 'life review', acute awareness, a feeling of timelessness, and intense emotions.
- Upon awakening the near-death experiencer may return with unusual abilities previously unknown to them. Some of these include: seeing auras and other related paranormal abilities, awareness of science and other technologies regarding time and space, change in personality and spiritual transformations.
- In what seems like a long period of time to the soul, though perhaps only several seconds or minutes in our linear time, the soul may get to review what will happen to it should it return. There are always the physical ailments that may or may not heal. Then there are those that would be left behind to consider. As linear time does not exist in other than our physical dimensional reality, the soul will often ponder it's choices.
- Sometimes a soul will come back even if it does not want to, as it has issues to work out. Usually that soul will consider this a second chance and become more spiritual in the remaining time it has here on earth. Many of these souls have gone on to write about near-death experiences to help others understand what is going on, on the other side.
- Many believe that have returned because they have been chosen to do something spiritual for the planet. Most people who return do have a more spiritual slant on life. After all they have faced the other side and should return on a higher frequency and with more knowledge. Some go on to become healers or helpers.
After Death Communication (ADC)
An After Death Communication is a spiritual experience, which occurs when you are contacted directly and spontaneously by a deceased family member or friend, without the use of psychics, mediums, rituals, or devices of any kind. It's estimated that 50-100 million Americans - 20-40% of the population of the United States - have had one or more ADC experiences.
The ADC Project was created in May, 1988 to conduct the first in-depth research of After-Death Communications. The founders, Bill and Judy Guggenheim, interviewed 2,000 people who live in all 50 American states and the 10 Canadian provinces. They collected more than 3,300 firsthand accounts from people who believe they have been contacted by a loved one who had died.
Hello from Heaven! contains 353 ADC accounts. It focuses on the twelve major types of ADCs people report, the loving messages they receive, and the effects on the lives of the experiencers. They present persuasive evidence that ADCs are authentic contacts by deceased loved ones and discuss some of the many far-reaching social and spiritual implications of their findings.
12 Most Frequent ADCs
The following are the twelve most frequent types of after-death communication people report having with their deceased loved ones:
- Sensing a Presence: This is the most common form of contact. But many people discount these experiences, thinking, "Oh, I’m just imagining this." It’s a distinct feeling that your loved one is nearby, even though he or she can’t be seen or heard. Though most often felt during the days and weeks immediately after the death, you may sense his or her presence months and even years later.
- Hearing a Voice: Some people state they hear an external voice, the same as when a living person is speaking to them. However, the majority of communications are by telepathy – you hear the voice of your relative or friend in your mind. When you have two-way communication, it is usually by telepathy. In fact, it’s possible to have an entire conversation this way.
- Feeling a Touch: You may feel your loved one touch you with his or her hand, or place an arm around your shoulders or back, for comfort and reassurance. You may feel a tap, a pat, a caress, a stroke, a kiss, or even a hug. These are all forms of affection, nurturing, and love.
- Smelling a Fragrance: You may smell your relative’s or friend’s favorite cologne, after-shave lotion, or perfume. Other common aromas are: flowers (especially roses), bath powders, tobacco products, favorite foods, and his or her personal scent.
- Visual Experiences: There are a wide variety of visual experiences, which are divided into two broad categories:
- Full visual
- Appearances range from "a transparent mist" to "absolutely solid" with many gradations in between. You may see only the head and shoulders of your relative or friend, or someone you love may make a full appearance to you, and you will see the entire body as well, which will appear completely solid. Some visual ADCs occur in the bedroom, next to or at the foot of the bed. Others may happen anywhere – indoors or outdoors – even in a car or aboard a plane. Typically he or she will be expressing love and well-being with a radiant smile. Loved ones virtually always appear healed and whole regardless of their cause of death. Verbal communication may take place, but not always.
- Visions: You may see an image of a deceased loved one in a "picture" that is either two-dimensional and flat or three-dimensional like a hologram. It’s like seeing a 35 mm slide or a movie suspended in the air. Visions are usually in radiant colors and may be seen externally with your eyes open or internally in your mind. Communication may occur, especially during meditation.
- Twilight Experiences: These occur in the alpha state – as you’re falling asleep, waking up, meditating, or praying. You may have any or all of the above types of experiences while you are in this state of consciousness.
- ADC Experiences While Asleep: Sleep-state ADCs are much more vivid, intense, colorful, and real than dreams. They are very common. Both one-way and two-way communications are typical. You usually feel your loved one is with you in person – that you’re having an actual visit together. These experiences are not jumbled, filled with symbols, or fragmented the way dreams are.
Sleep-state ADCs are similar to those that occur when you are wide awake. Your
relative or friend can come to you more easily, however, when you are relaxed, open,
and receptive, such as while you are in the alpha state or asleep.
- Out-Of-Body ADCs: These may occur while you are asleep or in a meditative state. They are dramatic experiences during which you leave your body and often visit your loved one at the place or level where he or she exists. These are extremely vivid, intense, and real – some say, "more real than physical life." The environments usually contain beautiful flowers and butterflies, colorful bushes and trees, radiant lighting, and other lovely aspects of nature – and are filled with happiness, love, and joy
- Telephone Calls: These ADCs may occur during sleep or when you are wide awake. You will hear a phone ringing, and if you answer it, your loved one will give you a short message. Two-way conversations are possible. His or her voice will usually be clear but may seem far away. If you are awake, you will probably not hear a disconnect sound or a dial tone when the call is completed.
- Physical Phenomena: People who are bereaved often report receiving a wide variety of physical signs from their deceased relative or friend, such as: lights or lamps blinking on and off; lights, radios, televisions, stereos, and mechanical objects being turned on; photographs, pictures, and various other items being turned over or moved; and a long list of "things that go bump in the night."
- Symbolic ADCs: People frequently ask a Higher Power, the universe, or their deceased loved one for a sign that he or she still exists. Many receive such a sign, though it may take some time to arrive. Occasionally these signs are so subtle they may be missed, or they may be discounted as mere "coincidences." Common signs include: butterflies, rainbows, many species of birds and animals, flowers, and a variety of inanimate objects such as coins and pictures.
Purpose of the Communications
The purpose of these visits and signs by those who have died is to offer comfort, reassurance, and hope to their parents, spouse, siblings, children, grandchildren, other family members, and friends. They want you to know they’re still alive and that you’ll be reunited with them when it’s your time to leave this physical life on earth – and they’ll be there to greet you when you make your transition. Their most frequent messages, expressed verbally or non-verbally, include:
"I’m okay ... I’m fine ... Everything is okay ... Don’t worry about me ...
Don’t grieve for me ... Please let me go ... I’m happy ... Everything will be all right ...
Go on with your life ... Please forgive ... Thank you ... I’ll always be there for you ...
I’m watching over you ... I’ll see you again ... I love you ... Good-bye ..."
They consistently communicate an essential spiritual message: "Life and love are eternal."
Some Problems with ADCs
Unfortunately, some people react with fear when they have an ADC. This is usually because they are startled by the suddenness of the event, or they may have never heard of one happening to anybody else. Such people may assume they are "losing their mind and going crazy." And others find it difficult to reconcile after-death communications with their philosophical or religious beliefs.
Not all people are contacted by their deceased loved ones. We don’t know for certain why some are and some aren’t, but it seems that fear, anger, and prolonged heavy grief inhibit the possibility of having an ADC.
